3. Missouri GED Testing Requirements
- In Missouri, to be eligible to take the GED exam, you must be at least 16 years old. Nevertheless, there will be more restrictions for 16 -year old students.
- Underage students are required to gain an Application for Missouri Certificate of High School Equivalency, which is offered at the majority of public libraries, GED testing sites, high school guidance offices as well as Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) centers.

You are allowed to retake each subtest up to three times without waiting. To retake the test for the fourth time, you need to wait for 60 days. For the first two retakes, you will receive a discounted price (You only need to pay $12 per retake instead of $32). To qualify for being offered extra discounted retakes, you are required to wait 60 days, pay the full price of $32 and then you will receive two more discounted retakes. All retakes must take place within 12 months of the first attempt.
