3.  GED Florida Requirements

 

– You have not had a secondary education degree (high school or equivalent diploma)

– You have not registered for another school program. 

– You must be at least 16 years old. 

– Students who are 16 and 17 years old need to meet additional and stringent criteria. For instance, they must be officially withdrawn from high school as well as gain permission from their parents. 

– To take the GED Florida test, you needn’t live in the state.

– In Florida, students are not required to attend a GED prep course or first pass the GED Ready Practice Test.

Generally, you can retake each subtest you don’t pass up to 3 times without waiting. In the fourth attempt, you must wait for 60 days. You will receive a discount for your first two retakes (You only need to pay $12 for each subject instead of $32). To qualify for being offered additional discounted retakes, you must wait 60 days, pay the full price of $32, and then you will be given two more discounted retakes. All retakes must happen within 12 months of the first attempt.
